Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Area Leader to drive engagement and performance across store teams. You will lead Leaders and Team Members, ensure onboarding and ongoing coaching, and manage area operations, safety, and financial results.

The role focuses on talent development, schedule optimization and budget accountability to maximize sales and productivity. The candidate will oversee onboarding, training and development, with a strong emphasis on coaching and feedback, while shaping a culture

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coach, mentor and drive performance
• Experience analyzing financial and operational data to drive decisions

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to onboard, train and develop talent
• Identify talent and plan for staffing across the store area
• Lead candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities
• Oversee area operations and financial results, including budgeting and productivity
• Drive safety, compliance and maintenance of store conditions
• Guide and assign daily work and training needs for team leaders and staff
• Perform other duties as needed
