Job summary

Motion Industries is hiring a Customer Service Representative for an on-site role in Defiance, OH. The position supports accurate order fulfillment, handles customer inquiries, and coordinates ordering, pricing, and shipping processes.

Under close supervision, you will respond to product inquiries, enter orders, and negotiate pricing within set parameters to optimize gross profit. You will build lasting customer relationships and assist with returns and backorders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–3 years related experience.
• Reliability, organization, attention to detail required.
• Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use email and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries and provide product quotes.
• Enter orders via telephone, fax, email, or in person.
• Negotiate pricing within parameters to influence gross profit.
• Build customer relationships and drive repeat business.
• Arrange inventory sourcing and ensure sufficient stock for customers.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods and coordinate delivery.
• Support account representatives and expedite backorders.
