Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Sales Specialist to engage customers in-store, understand their home improvement needs, and guide them to the right products and services. You’ll become a product expert, discuss features and promotions, and help close sales while delivering excellent customer care.

The role covers various departments and may involve outside sales in Pro, with emphasis on teamwork, inventory support, pricing, and post-sale follow-up.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience if education requirement not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience in a sales-driven environment with goals.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe’s will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating advantages of Lowe’s products.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders, and follow up.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors/stores to restock merchandise.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist with departments as needed.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
