Job summary

Five Below is seeking an hourly Crew/Assistant Manager to support store operations in Connecticut. You will lead a team, train associates on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience, and ensure fast, friendly checkouts for every guest.

You’ll help manage stock, assist with open/close duties, and collaborate with leadership to drive sales while controlling costs. A high school diploma and 1 year of management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience; ensuring that each guest has a fast, friendly check-out experience.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates, ensuring duties are performed effectively and customer service is outstanding.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for fast placement on sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, and customer service.
• Occasionally manage opening/closing, including cash handling, doors, alarms, and daily setup.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies, product knowledge, and procedures to improve performance.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance such as trash, sweeping, bathrooms, and stock room upkeep.
