Job summary

Meijer in Ohio seeks an Area Leader to drive engagement and coaching across a span of care. You will oversee Leads and Team Leaders, manage budgetary accountability in the P&L, and champion safety, scheduling, and process improvements to boost service and productivity.

You will identify talent, lead candid career discussions, ensure onboarding and development, and uphold Meijer standards while advancing store operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in retail/grocery or customer service.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and financial analysis skills.
• Commitment to safety and inclusive leadership.
• Understanding of merchandising to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive area operations and financial results, overseeing budget lines in the P&L.
• Lead Leads and Team Leaders; coach and mentor staff.
• Develop talent and succession planning; engage in performance discussions.
• Ensure safety compliance and store condition management.
• Identify process improvements and uphold Meijer culture.
