Job summary

Meijer in Ohio is seeking an Area Leader to drive engagement, coaching and development across the span of care. You will own budget line items in the P&L, oversee area operations, and push process improvements while upholding Meijer’s culture and standards.

You will direct Leads and Team Leaders, manage staffing, safety and compliance, and partner with store leadership to maximize sales and productivity while empowering teams to deliver exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Commitment to safety and inclusive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and development.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing strategies.
• Conducts candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, managing budgets and P&L.
• Drives safety, compliance and store condition management.
• Directs Team Leaders and Leads with daily work assignments and training needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
