Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Area Leader to oversee engagement and performance across store teams in Canton (OH). You will drive coaching, development and succession planning while owning area operations and P&L to maximize sales and productivity.

The role emphasizes safety, process improvements, and building a diverse talent pipeline. You will direct Leads and Team Leaders and partner with store leadership to meet corporate goals in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in retail/grocery or customer service.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Commitment to safety and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage team members to ensure onboarding, training and coaching.
• Identify talent and plan succession for leadership roles.
• Manage area operations and monitor P&L, budgeting and staffing.
• Drive safety, compliance, and store condition management.
• Guide Leads and Team Leaders to assign daily tasks and training.
