Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Area Leader to drive team member engagement, coaching, and development across the span of care. You will direct Leads and Team Leaders while owning area operations and financials, including scheduling, productivity, and compliance.

The role emphasizes talent identification, candid feedback, and process improvements to strengthen store performance and Meijer culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
Progressive leadership experience preferred.
A passion to provide industry leading service.
Strong communication, financial and analytical skills.
Commitment to safety and inclusive leadership.

Responsibilities

Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and coaching for success.
Identifies talent and supports career discussions to build leadership depth.
Oversees area operations and financial results, including budgeting and forecasting.
Drives safety, compliance and condition management across the store.
Directs Leads and Team Leaders with daily work assignments and training needs.
Partners to continually improve processes and uphold Meijer culture.
