Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Area Leader in Ohio to drive engagement and performance across the span of care. You will lead Leads and Team Leaders, manage area operations and the P&L, and implement process improvements while upholding Meijer culture.

You will oversee onboarding, coaching, talent development, and a diversified talent pipeline, ensuring adherence to safety and corporate standards. This role emphasizes community-focused leadership and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in retail/grocery or customer service.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Strong financial and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to onboard, train and coach for success.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Holds candid discussions to ensure Meijer standards and growth.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, budget ownership.
• Drives safety/compliance and store condition management.
• Guides Team Leaders and Leads on daily tasks and training needs.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
