Job summary

Five Below is hiring for an hourly Store Manager on Duty role in North Carolina. You will lead store operations, supervise crew, and train associates to deliver WOW customer service with a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You will assist with receiving, stocking, and merchandising while driving sales and managing expenses. Flexible schedule and supervisory responsibilities are required for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crew wow the customer through personal contact with customers.
• Train crew on the BEST customer service experience and ensure fast, friendly check-out.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure high-quality service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick floor placement.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, handling store operations and staff.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, lock doors, and set alarms.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drive sales and control expenses through merchandising and staff performance.
• Collaborate with store leadership on merchandising procedures and operations.
• Perform routine store maintenance and cleanliness tasks.
