Job summary

Five Below Inc. in New Bern, NC is hiring for an hourly team member with leadership responsibilities. You will ensure wow-worthy customer service, train crew, and manage daily store activities. You’ll assist with receiving, stock organization, and day-to-day operations as a Manager on Duty when needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and at least 1 year of management experience, with flexibility for day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Wowing customers through personal contact and friendly service.
• Train crew on the BEST customer service experience and fast checkout.
• Oversee daily store activities and ensure top performance and service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking for quick shelf placement.
• Act as Manager on Duty handling store operations and staff issues.
• Open/close the store, secure cash, and ensure daily readiness.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drive sales and manage expenses through merchandising and service.
• Collaborate with leadership on merchandising and store recovery.
• Perform store maintenance including cleaning and organization.
