Job summary

CarMax Rochester is seeking a Customer Specialist in Training to guide customers through sales, appraisals, and service steps with a focus on a transparent, customer-first experience. You will assist with vehicle checks, paperwork, and coordinating service appointments in a fast-paced environment.

You will learn CarMax processes while delivering accurate condition assessments, handling administrative tasks, and collaborating across teams to ensure a smooth, customer-focused journey.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building with customers.
• Ability to balance customer needs with business goals and follow processes.
• Integrity, respect, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Lift up to 25 lbs and accurately read and transcribe data.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service through sales, appraisals, test drives, and financing applications.
• Conduct vehicle condition assessments and document details for appraisals.
• Manage inventory processes, check-in, scanning, and reconciliation.
• Perform cosmetic inspections to meet CarMax Quality Standards.
• Handle administrative tasks, including reports, paperwork, and payments.
• Coordinate service appointments and review repair invoices for billing accuracy.
