Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Customer Specialist in Training to deliver a customer-first experience across sales, appraisals, test drives, and servicing. You will learn hands-on in a fast-paced environment, handling vehicle check-ins, paperwork, and repairs coordination while upholding CarMax values of honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities include guiding customers through financing, documenting appraisals, coordinating service appointments, and ensuring compliance with EH&S standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and read/transcribe data.
• Retail or sales experience is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by guiding customers through sales, appraisals, test drives, and financing applications.
• Conduct accurate vehicle condition assessments and document findings for appraisals.
• Manage inventory processes including vehicle check-in, scanning, and reconciliation.
• Perform cosmetic inspections to meet CarMax Quality Standards.
• Handle administrative tasks such as printing reports and managing paperwork.
• Coordinate service appointments and review repair invoices for billing accuracy.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean work area.
