Job summary

CarMax in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Customer Specialist to deliver an iconic, customer-first experience throughout the car-buying and selling journey. You will guide customers through appraisals, test drives, and financing applications, ensuring a transparent, hassle-free process.

You’ll document vehicle conditions, manage paperwork, coordinate service appointments, and collaborate across teams to maintain a smooth, customer-focused experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through sales, appraisals, test drives, and financing.
• Document vehicle condition for appraisals and communicate findings.
• Manage vehicle check-in, daily scanning, and inventory reconciliation.
• Conduct cosmetic inspections to meet CarMax quality standards.
• Handle paperwork, transactions, and payments.
• Coordinate service appointments and review repair orders for accuracy.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain a clean work area.
