Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Service Manager to keep the store running smoothly by supervising employees across departments and ensuring prompt, friendly service for every customer. You will lead by example, manage schedules, handle customer issues, and oversee merchandising and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service across all departments.
• Lead by example, maintain positive employee relations and teamwork.
• Plan and adjust work schedules, assign duties, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Supervise store activities in the Department Manager's absence or perform tasks at all levels.
• Train staff on store policies and procedures; provide ongoing education.
• Evaluate performance and recommend promotions, transfers, or dismissals.
• Maintain safety procedures and complete necessary incident reports.
• Handle cash registers and transactions including Western Union and money orders.
