Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and making each visit great.
• Lead by example and maintain positive employee relations store-wide.
• Plan and adjust work schedules and assign duties to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Supervise activities across departments or step in as needed in the Department Manager's absence.
• Ensure proper customer service throughout the store and address issues promptly.
• Train workers on store policies and procedures and provide ongoing education.
• Evaluate employee performance and recommend promotions or transfers.
• Enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Handle merchandise orders, verify deliveries, and report discrepancies.
• Manage ad/promotional displays and ensure product quality and quantities meet demand.
• Maintain managerial data including sales and inventory reports.
• Review personnel records for accuracy and payroll basics.
• Handle cash registers and transactions.
• Suggest cost reductions and shelf optimizations.
• Protect confidential information.
