Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Front of Store Supervisor to promote an excellent customer experience and lead a team of Associates.

You will train and mentor staff, coordinate POS coverage, and support loyalty programs while ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards. This role requires a flexible schedule, strong merchandising knowledge, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication to adapt to changing directions.

Qualifications

• Available to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Able to train others.
• 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent customer experience and loyalty programs.
• Lead front-of-store team and ensure courteous service.
• Train and mentor Associates on front end principles.
• Oversee POS coverage and breaks.
• Address customer concerns promptly and maintain store plan.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and store policies.
• Promote safety, shrink reduction, and program adherence.
• Communicate priorities with management; provide updates.
• Support management with training needs.
