Job summary

You will oversee Leads and Team Leaders, manage area operations and financial results, and implement process improvements while upholding Meijer’s culture and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members to provide clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Commitment to safety and compliant store operations.
• Strong merchandising understanding to meet customer needs and drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to ensure onboarding, training and coaching for success.
• Identify talent and support staffing and leadership development.
• Lead candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities.
• Manage area operations and financial results, overseeing budget line items in P&L.
• Drive safety, compliance, and store condition management across the area.
• Guide Team Leaders and Leads with daily work assignments and training needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
