Job summary

Meijer is seeking a leader to drive on-site store operations and staff development. You will oversee onboarding, training and coaching to ensure success across the team. You will identify talent, discuss career paths, and promote a diverse leadership pipeline within the organization.

Additionally, you will manage area operations and financial results, ensuring services and products meet Meijer standards, while driving safety and compliance and guiding daily work for Team Leaders and Leads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decision making.
• Commitment to safe operations and inclusive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and coaching for success.
• Identifies talent and discusses career paths to build diverse leadership.
• Leads candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities.
• Owns budgetary items by overseeing area operations and P&L performance.
• Drives safety, compliance, and store condition management across the team.
