Ashley Furniture in Modesto, CA is seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as the front-line ambassador for Ashley, delivering exceptional customer service and supporting store operations. This role provides administrative support and helps drive customer relationships in a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing orders, managing accounts, handling cash, resolving issues, and assisting with audits and reporting.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions.
• 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience (preferred).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk & Customer Service: greet customers professionally in person, on phone and by email.
• Sales Order Support: assist with processing orders and approvals.
• Customer Account Management: maintain customer data and financing arrangements.
• Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: process payments and reconcile transactions.
• Customer Issue Resolution: address inquiries and escalate issues when needed.
• Audit & Compliance Assistance: support audits and verify paperwork accuracy.
• Reporting & Documentation: prepare reports and maintain records.
• Team Collaboration: work with sales, merchandising and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Technology & Systems: use POS, retail software and MS Office.
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management.
