Job summary

Motion Industries, under close supervision, seeks a Customer Service Representative who accurately fulfills customer orders and manages incoming calls.

You will respond to basic product inquiries, provide quotes, and handle order entry, placing orders by telephone, fax, email, or walk-in.

Collaborating with Account Representatives, you will help maintain inventory levels, determine cost-effective shipping, and assist with returns when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 0–3 years related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, listening, and written skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use business systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influence gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract pricing based on competition to maximize profit.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and process improvements.
• Order items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers.
• Determine the most cost-effective shipping method for orders.
• Partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedite backorders and prepare orders for shipment to customers.
• May handle customer returns.
