Job summary

Chemsolv, Inc. is seeking a Customer Care Account Specialist in Roanoke, VA to coordinate orders from receipt to delivery and provide outstanding service. You will manage communications with customers, suppliers, and carriers and maintain accurate order documentation.

The role requires at least 1 year of customer service and data entry experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A rotating on-call schedule is included and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service and data entry experience.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer orders from receipt through delivery, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Enter and maintain order data within company systems while preparing and providing required customer documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure successful order fulfillment.
• Manage a high volume of emails and communications, prioritizing tasks and responding promptly to customer needs.
• Monitor and manage back orders, proactively communicating delays and coordinating solutions with multiple departments.
• Serve as a logistics coordinator by arranging shipments, obtaining freight quotes, scheduling carriers, and resolving transportation issues.
• Assist with onboarding new customer accounts and maintaining customer databases.
• Support the Sales Team with freight quotes, inventory checks, pricing updates, product information, and administrative requests.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of chemical products, industry terminology, vendor requirements, and transportation processes.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support after-hours customer and carrier needs.
