Job summary

Santander US is seeking a Relationship Banker to serve as a trusted advisor, building strong, long-lasting client relationships while understanding financial needs and goals. You will provide tailored solutions across banking, lending, and investment products, while delivering exceptional customer service and promoting digital tools.

You will actively engage with customers to promote cross-selling opportunities, resolve issues, and support branch sales targets, contributing to the bank’s growth

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience selling products and/or services in an incentive-based environment.
• 12+ months experience in retail banking sales or related role with proven success.
• 12+ months Santander experience related to essential functions and responsibilities.
• 12+ months customer service experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Established relationship-building skills with a focus on customer experience and loyalty.
• Excellent customer service and a passion for helping others.
• Proven track record in sales and cross-selling products and services.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication, consultative and influencing skills (verbal & written).
• Professional image and reliability in all interactions.
• Proficient in using digital tools and technology to engage customers.
• Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to identify and escalate risk issues to the proper channels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Computer proficiency and basic math skills.
• Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales targets by actively promoting and cross-selling banking products and services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Proactively prospect for new clients through internal and outbound activities such as networking, referrals, lead calls, portfolio management, and community engagement.
• Meet the financial needs of customers including transactional services and product recommendations.
• Deliver an elevated, personalized customer experience with seamless service.
• Collaborate with team members and partners to achieve branch goals and drive performance.
