Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Customer Account Representative to own and support a portfolio of customer accounts, managing orders and data in ERP/MRP systems. The role emphasizes proactive communication, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure a smooth customer experience.

You will interface with production, operations, planning, and sales teams, monitor order activity, and provide clear updates to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer account management or customer operations.
• Proficient in order management including POs and sales orders.
• Strong communication skills for order timelines and issues.
• Proven ability to resolve issues and escalate as needed.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems to enter/update orders.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage assigned customer accounts as the main contact for orders and service.
• Process purchase orders and sales orders from entry to fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate customer, order, and shipment data in ERP/MRP systems.
• Provide timely updates on order status, shipments, availability, and scheduling.
• Resolve complex customer issues by identifying root causes and solutions.
• Communicate with customers via email, phone, and meetings to clarify requirements.
• Collaborate with production, operations, planning, and sales to resolve needs.
• Escalate delayed orders and scheduling conflicts and drive resolution.
• Participate in departmental reporting and KPI tracking to drive improvements.
• Identify process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
