Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Staff Accountant for our Kent, OH location. The role focuses on AR, credit and collections, while supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, reporting, and data analysis within a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has extensive accounting experience, solid US GAAP knowledge, ERP proficiency, and strong Excel skills to drive accuracy and efficiency across finance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 13 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (35 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and bookkeeping best practices.
• Experience with ERP and electronic accounting systems.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Collections aligned with policy.
• Process invoices and verify credit references for new accounts.
• Prepare monthly close and financial reports for leadership.
• Forecast Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and provide analysis.
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives related to ERP.
