Job summary

The Container Store in Cranston, RI is seeking an Outside Sales & Design Consultant to design and sell custom spaces for homes and select businesses by appointment. You will manage all phases from in-home consultation to installation, build repeat clientele, and develop B2B relationships with property managers, builders and real estate professionals.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred with 2–5 years of outside sales experience preferred.
• Self-starter who is organized, creative, solutions-oriented, and able to manage time, appointments, and projects efficiently in a white glove customer service space.
• Knowledge of design principles and trends in custom spaces, interior design, fashion, and retail industries.
• Professional appearance and demeanor with clear written and verbal communication.
• Flexible and positive attitude, with ability to prioritize high-value tasks and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds sales goals, conversions, and customer surveys by designing and selling complete storage/organization solutions for residential, business, and trade clients.
• Establishes trust and understands customer needs to design and present projects and customized plans.
• Manages multiple customer projects with careful attention to detail, follow-up, and concise communication.
• Develops clientele through ongoing relationships, referrals, and partnerships.
• Builds relationships with interior designers, builders, realtors, property managers, and other business partners.
• Identifies and manages small to mid-sized B2B and trade opportunities.
