Job summary

The Container Store in Tigard, OR seeks an Outside Sales & Design Consultant (part-time) to design and sell custom spaces for homes and select business environments by appointment.

You will manage projects from in-home consultation to installation, build repeat clientele, and develop B2B relationships with designers, builders, and real estate professionals; earnings include a ramp-up period and a lucrative monthly bonus tied to sales performance.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred; 2–5 years outside sales experience.
• Design and organizing experience with white-glove service.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and AutoCAD-based tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 100 miles and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales goals and convert leads into customers.
• Design and present custom space plans to residential and business clients.
• Manage multiple projects with detail, accuracy, and follow-up.
• Develop new leads through referrals and partnerships.
• Build community relationships with designers, builders, real estate pros.
• Attend installations when needed and ensure positive customer experience.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
