Mission
The mission of the Programming & Software Development Career and Technical Education (CTE) Curriculum Manager is to manage and support the successful implementation of the CTE curriculum at IDEA Public Schools. The Curriculum Manager will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive, research-based, standards-aligned, and user-friendly curriculum. They will execute a curriculum support system to enhance teacher effectiveness and student success through site visits, feedback, professional development, and reporting on student progress.
Description
The Curriculum Manager will oversee curriculum development, alignment with standards, assessment creation, and professional development. Responsibilities include supporting teachers and leaders, analyzing student data, and ensuring curriculum quality and compliance. The role requires collaboration with various teams and travel for site visits and workshops.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Location
This full-time role is based in Texas, with preference for candidates in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, or Tarrant County, or those willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations
While primarily remote, travel up to 30% may be required for campus visits and events.
Essential Duties
Create and refine curriculum products, align instructional materials with standards, develop assessments, analyze data, support professional development, and lead campus observations. Additional duties include supporting Course Leaders, designing training, and collaborating with teams.
Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in curriculum design, knowledge of standards and assessments, research skills, organizational and communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Valid educator certification, at least five years of teaching experience, and proficiency in relevant educational technology.
Preferred Experience
Track record of student achievement, curriculum development, professional development facilitation, and leadership experience.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and travel as needed.
