Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to define the technical trajectory for its Hyperscaler Segment. You will interface with top accounts (Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta) and bridge Product, Legal, Pricing, and Delivery to orchestrate major deals including ULH Dark Fiber and ILA infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in Sales Engineering or Network Architecture.
• Certification: Advanced networking certifications (e.g., Juniper Pro, BGP).
• Track Record: Revenue attainment and handling complex RFPs.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead CTO-level strategic discussions to architect long-term network infrastructure (Dark Fiber, ILA, Private Wireless).
• Lead cross-functional tiger teams to navigate obstacles to facilitate deal closure and delivery.
• Engineer and document SOPs for undocumented products in Dark Fiber and Lit network space.
• Drive AI-driven automation to speed response times from hours to minutes.
• Mentor the technical talent pipeline within the Principal Sales Engineering org.
• Manage high-stakes RFPs and strategic alignment versus transactional risks.
• Maintain expertise in tools like NIDR, Salesforce for real-time feasibility analysis.
