Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to define the technical trajectory for its Hyperscaler Segment. As CTO-ready, you will interface with top cloud accounts like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta, transcending traditional sales engineering to orchestrate large-scale deals.

You will lead cross-functional tiger teams, mentor engineers, and shape strategy around Dark Fiber, ILA, and Private Wireless, while driving AI-enabled processes and ensuring delivery excellence across critical RFPs

Qualifications

10+ years in Sales Engineering or Network Architecture.
Advanced networking certifications (e.g., Juniper Pro, BGP).
Proven track record in revenue attainment with complex RFPs and high-stakes deals.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

Lead CTO-level strategic discussions to architect long-term, high-capacity network infrastructure (Dark Fiber, ILA, Private Wireless).
Manage cross-functional tiger teams to navigate obstacles and facilitate deal closure.
Document SOPs for products lacking documentation in Dark Fiber and Lit networks.
Drive AI-driven automation to speed response times and improve delivery success.
Mentor the technical talent pipeline within the Principal Sales Engineering organization.
Support over $1B in revenue with a $250M+ bookings target and strategic account management.
