Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to define the technical trajectory for the Hyperscaler Segment. This CTO-ready role interfaces with Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta, bridging Product, Legal, Pricing, and Delivery to orchestrate major deals including ULH Dark Fiber and ILA infrastructure.

You will mentor engineers, drive AI-enabled route assessments, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution across high-stakes RFPs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Sales Engineering or Network Architecture for Tier-1 hyperscale or complex accounts.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science with advanced networking credentials.
• Proven ability to lead strategic discussions and complex deal orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Engage in CTO-level strategic discussions to architect long-term, high-capacity network infrastructure.
• Lead cross-functional tiger teams to facilitate deal closure and delivery.
• Engineer SOPs for under-documented products in Dark Fiber and related spaces.
• Mentor the technical talent pipeline within the Principal Sales Engineering org.
