Job summary

Verizon Communications seeks a Distinguished Engineer – Hyperscaler Solutions Engineering to define the technical trajectory for the Hyperscaler segment. You’ll act as the primary tech interface for top accounts like Google, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft, bridging Product, Legal, Pricing, and Delivery to orchestrate high-value deals and critical implementations.

Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years in Sales Engineering or Network Architecture with Tier-1 hyperscaler or complex enterprise accounts.
Advanced networking certifications (e.g., Juniper Pro, BGP, or similar).
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Engage in CTO-level strategic discussions to architect long-term, high-capacity network infrastructure.
Lead cross-functional tiger teams to navigate obstacles for deal closure and implementation.
Engineer and document SOPs for products lacking documentation in DF/ILA spaces.
Drive systemic process improvements to streamline initiatives and reduce delivery risk.
Leverage GenAI and data tools to perform route assessments, pricing analysis, and deal breakdown.
Mentor the technical talent pipeline within the Principal Sales Engineering org.
Manage high-stakes RFPs and align strategy with revenue objectives.
