Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging and provide a supportive patient experience. You will work as part of a collaborative radiology team to deliver diagnostic images while upholding safety and ALARA principles.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT credentials (Radiography and CT) or eligibility, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT credentials required or eligible.
• BLS certification per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Capture quality diagnostic images with appropriate technique.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Disinfect rooms/equipment and promptly report issues.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety and ensure comfort.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and document in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies as needed.
• Support department workflow and compliance; keep areas stocked.
