Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform CT procedures, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and provide compassionate patient care in a collaborative environment.

Required credentials include ARRT-R and ARRT-CT, along with BLS and at least 1 year in Radiology. Education must include a High School Diploma and a Radiologic Technology program; adherence to ALARA and patient safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Disinfect, clean, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and patient IDs.
• Explain procedures and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; assist with preparation and positioning.
• Document studies accurately and finalize in RIS/PACS. Monitor patient condition and assist in emergencies.
