Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will join a team of clinicians in a collaborative care environment at Cobb Hospital, contributing to safety and diagnostic excellence.

The role emphasizes adherence to ALARA, patient communication, and efficient operation of CT equipment. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a radiologic technology program, and at least one year of radiology

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain quality images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and optimize dose (ALARA).
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and patient IDs before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams with contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; document in RIS/PACS and release patients.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies and restock life-support equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflows; support department flow and regulatory compliance.
