Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will perform CT procedures, follow ALARA principles, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and ensure diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Prepare and disinfect rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify IDs.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and reduce patient anxiety.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.
