Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, ensure diagnostic images, and assist in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment in a collaborative radiology team.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT credentials, and at least 1 year in radiology, with a focus on ALARA and patient communication.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and ALARA principles.
• Maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules and report issues.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep and post-care clearly using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and communicate results as needed.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exams.
