Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will work within a collaborative radiology team, applying radiologic technology skills to ensure diagnostic imaging with patient safety and comfort in mind.

The role requires completion of an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT credentials, and at least 1 year in radiology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose to patients.
• Disinfect, clean, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection-control protocols.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Administer contrast per protocol; perform venipuncture as applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or adjust as needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows and support department flow with other technologists.
