Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Cryogenic Responsible Engineer to lead development, manufacturing, and lifecycle ownership of cryogenic propellant management devices for lunar transportation systems.

You will drive requirement development, hardware ownership, and supplier collaboration, delivering robust, flight-ready hardware while working across engineering disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical subject area.
  • 5+ years of experience in cryogenic fluids and mechanical systems/components.
  • Experience developing, integrating and certifying aerospace systems for flight.
  • Experience with fluid/gas components (solenoids, regulators, valves, manifolds).
  • Cryogenic Fluid Management techniques and technologies.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with minimal oversight as part of the Zero-g Propellant Management IPT.
  • Manage internal and external procurements and internal hardware dependencies.
  • Lead trade studies, component design/integration, 1st order analysis, test support and supplier interface.
  • Own hardware drawing release, manufacturing plan development, and integration onto the vehicle.
  • Lead internal and external cryogenic technology development meetings.
  • Cradle-to-grave ownership of cryogenic system.
