Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Cryogenic Responsible Engineer to lead and own cryogenic propellant management hardware. You will oversee cradle-to-grave development, from concept to delivery, coordinating with internal and external suppliers to ensure robust, safe spaceflight hardware.

You will work on the Zero-g Propellant Management IPT with a focus on test support, design iteration, and integration onto lunar vehicles, bringing leadership and rigorous engineering to every phase of the lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical subject area.
  • 5+ years of experience in cryogenic fluids and mechanical systems/components.
  • Experience developing, integrating and certifying aerospace systems for flight.
  • Experience with fluid/gas components such as valves, manifolds, regulators, and instrumentation.
  • Cryogenic Fluid Management techniques and technologies.
  • Strong teamwork in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with minimal oversight as part of the Zero-g Propellant Management IPT.
  • Manage procurements and hardware dependencies to meet subsystem deliveries.
  • Lead trade studies, component design/integration, and test support for cryogenic systems.
  • Own hardware drawing release, manufacturing plan development, and integration onto the vehicle.
  • Lead internal and external cryogenic development meetings.
  • Cradle-to-grave ownership of cryogenic system.
