Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Liquid Systems Responsible Engineer to join the Zero-g Propellant Management team within Lunar Permanence. The role blends hardware support for cryogenic propellant management components with manufacturing engineering, including DFM/DFA input, process documentation, and shop-floor troubleshooting.

You'll collaborate with senior engineers, manage supplier interfaces, and contribute to design reviews and verification activities, aiming to produce producible, bias-free

Qualifications

  • BS in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, physics, or related field.
  • 5+ years in cryogenic fluids and mechanical systems or manufacturing/process engineering.
  • Experience supporting aerospace flight hardware development, integration, or certification.
  • Hands-on with cryogenic fluid hardware components: valves, manifolds, regulators, vessels, instrumentation.
  • Translating requirements into manufacturing processes (DFM/DFA/DFT).
  • Cryogenic fluid management techniques and technologies.
  • Clear work instructions and manufacturing documentation in English.
  • Strong communication; ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and support hardware ownership for cryogenic propellant management components.
  • Contribute to requirements definition, design reviews, verification, and supplier coordination.
  • Support trade studies, component design, first-order analysis, and supplier interface.
  • Track procurements and hardware dependencies to support delivery schedules.
  • Participate in technical meetings on cryogenic hardware development.
  • Support DFM/DFA/DFT reviews and flag manufacturability concerns.
  • Translate engineering requirements into manufacturing processes for fabrication and assembly.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and inspection plans.
