Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West. The role involves caring for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis in a 24-bed unit with a 5:1 patient ratio.

You will perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures while collaborating with PCNAs, nurses, providers, PT and OT. Rotating weekends/holidays and full-time 72-hour biweekly schedule apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) with a 24-bed capacity and 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Perform EKG interpretation, central line care and bedside procedures.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT to support patient recovery.
