Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West. This full-time role features a 72-hour bi-weekly schedule with a 7a-7p/7p-7a shift and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will care for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures. Strong critical thinking and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring.
• Provide central line care and manage airway support as needed.
• Utilize Rescue Bi-pap, High Flow Oxygen, Trach/Vents in patient care.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT in care delivery.
