Job summary

The State of Maine is seeking a Crisis Team Worker in Portland to provide prevention and intervention services through telephone, mobile outreach and in-home support. The role includes rotating shifts in crisis residential services and frequent collaboration with hospitals, police and community partners.

Candidates will have crisis response or related field experience, necessary licenses and certifications (CRMA, CPR, First Aid), and the ability to travel state-wide as required.

Qualifications

• Education, training, and/or experience in crisis response, case management, mental health care, human services, or another related field.
• Certification to administer medication (CRMA), CPR and First Aid.
• A valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work 8-16 hour rotating shifts, with nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention and intervention services via telephone, mobile outreach and in-home support.
• Rotate shifts in short-term crisis residential services.
• Maintain regular contact with hospitals, law enforcement and other professionals; document crisis activity.
