Job summary

The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Crisis Intervention Specialist for the Mobile Outreach Program serving Knox, Waldo, Lincoln, and Sagadahoc. The role pays $25/hour and offers full-time scheduling in Portland, ME with in-office and community work, and potential remote elements.

Responsibilities include responding to crises, de-escalation, assessment, and providing direct services across in-person, phone, or electronic formats. Training and strong teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required, plus MHRT/CSP certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, E-mail and Internet.
• Flexible schedule and strong organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and support adults, children, and families in mental health crises.
• Engage, de-escalate, assess needs, and develop collaborative action steps.
• Provide direct service and intervention in person, by phone, or via electronic media.
