Job summary

Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in Portland seeks a Crisis Team Worker to provide prevention and intervention services via telephone, mobile outreach and in-home support. The position requires rotating 8, 12 and 16-hour shifts, collaboration with hospitals and law enforcement, and documentation of crisis activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in crisis response, case management, mental health care, or related human services.
• Knowledge of crisis safety planning and documentation of patient activity.
• Preferred related work experience and/or college education in human services.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention and intervention services via telephone, mobile outreach and in-home support.
• Work rotating shifts in short-term crisis residential settings.
• Maintain regular contact with hospitals, law enforcement and other community professionals.
• Write documentation of all crisis related activity and participate in safety planning.
