Job summary

RockBridge Search & Recruitment in Seattle is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager – Underwriter to join a fast-paced banking team focused on credit decision support. The role blends analytical insight with strategic communication to translate financial data into credible credit narratives.

You will partner with Relationship Managers to evaluate credit opportunities, develop underwriting packages, and support lending decisions across mid-market and commercial borrowers.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or commercial banking support.
• Strong financial statement analysis skills (cash flow, leverage, liquidity, repayment capacity).
• Familiarity with credit structuring concepts and risk assessment frameworks.
• Ability to write clear, concise credit narratives that support decision-making.
• A curious mindset that asks “why” behind the numbers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing credit opportunities, analyzing financial statements, cash flow trends, collateral positions, and borrower behavior.
• Build and refine underwriting packages that are clear, compelling, and defensible; analyze mid-market and commercial borrowers, assist in structuring deals, identify risk signals.
• Engage with clients indirectly, helping Relationship Managers prepare for conversations and ensure critical details are not lost between underwriting and client strategy.
