Ferguson Enterprises, LLC is seeking a knowledgeable Counter Sales Associate in Everett, WA to advise plumbing and HVAC contractor customers and drive sales at the counter, on the phone, and via email.

Hours are Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with starting pay at $23.85 per hour and potential for higher based on experience; competitive benefits include health, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in customer service or sales; plumbing/HVAC background preferred.
• Sales-driven with ability to meet goals and influence purchasing decisions.
• Strong communication for consultative selling and customer engagement.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Digital literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers proactively at the counter, on the phone, and via email to understand needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert by learning plumbing, HVAC and related products to guide decisions.
• Drive sales growth by upselling, cross-selling, and promoting strategic products and programs.
• Utilize catalogs, computer systems, and databases to locate parts and provide accurate information.
• Process transactions efficiently with a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Associates to support account growth.
• Manage special orders and follow up on status, back-orders, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain a professional, organized counter environment reflecting quality and service.
• Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock organization.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including PPE usage.
