The role emphasizes relationship-building, sales growth, and delivering exceptional service, with a schedule that includes occasional Saturdays and safety-first operations in shop environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service or sales.
• Sales-driven with ability to meet goals and influence purchasing decisions.
• Strong communication for consultative selling and customer engagement.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers at the counter, on the phone, and via email to understand needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert by applying knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and related products.
• Drive sales growth by upselling, cross-selling, and promoting strategic products and programs.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales to support account growth and seamless service.
• Manage special orders and provide status updates on orders, back-orders and delivery timelines.
• Maintain an organized counter environment reflecting Ferguson's commitment to quality and service.
• Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock organization.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including use of PPE.
