Heritage Pool Supply Group is hiring for a Counter Sales role at our Grand Rapids, MI location. You will handle customer interactions across phone, email and in-person consultations, process orders, provide expert product recommendations, and coordinate truck deliveries.

The role includes inventory support, collaboration with the warehouse and sales teams, and adherence to safety standards. The position is on-site, full-time, with overtime during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a customer service or sales role.
• Proficiency in basic computer operations and internet navigation.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and order entry procedures.
• Demonstrated ability for clear and courteous communication in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Effective problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in responding to customer inquiries and issues.
• Capability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 75 lbs regularly, and 50 lbs on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to work in varied conditions, including warehouses and outdoor environments.
• Honest, respectful, and courteous demeanor towards all customers and colleagues.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed during the peak season.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with clients via phone, email, and in-person consultations.
• Accurately process transactions at the sales counter using the company system.
• Deliver product recommendations and pricing information to meet customer needs.
• Create sales orders and quotes using customer measurements for estimated costs.
• Coordinate and schedule truck deliveries to ensure timely service.
• Assist with inventory through cycle counts, picking, replenishment, and shipping/receiving.
• Collaborate with management and team members to communicate customer needs and special orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and uphold safety standards.
• Work with warehouse and sales teams to ensure efficient operations and service quality.
• Communicate policies and goals clearly to align with company objectives.
